What this covers
This policy explains what information VERMYN collects through vermyn.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website. Work delivered under a signed agreement is governed by the data terms in that agreement.
02
Information you give us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, project type and a description of your project. Company name and budget range are optional. We collect this so we can understand your enquiry and reply to it.
Please do not send confidential material, credentials, personal data about third parties, or anything covered by an NDA through the contact form. Once we are in touch we will agree a suitable channel.
03
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider processes standard server and request data necessary to serve the site, including IP address and browser user agent. We record the IP address of contact form submissions for a limited period, solely to rate-limit abuse of the form.
This site sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking. If we add privacy-respecting analytics, this section will be updated before it goes live.
04
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work.
- To send you a copy of the enquiry you submitted.
- To protect the contact form from automated abuse.
- To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations where they apply.
05
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us. Any newsletter would require you to opt in separately.
- We do not use your enquiry to train machine learning models, ours or anyone else’s.
06
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run this site. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service:
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
- Resend — delivery of contact form emails.
- Supabase — storage of contact enquiries, where enabled.
07
Retention
Enquiry emails are retained in our mailbox for as long as the enquiry or resulting relationship is relevant, and thereafter as required for legal and accounting purposes. Rate-limiting records are short-lived and are not used for any other purpose. You may ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
08
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, email officialvermyn@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
09
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Credentials for email and database services are held as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to the browser. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask again that you do not send sensitive material through the contact form.
10
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. For any question about privacy, email officialvermyn@gmail.com.
